project: december daily. december 17th.

 welcome to day 17.

today is the day that our christmas comapny arrives. they flew in from vancouver to the montreal airport and drove up to the house. the kids (and us of course) were so excited to see them. a little taste of home - although richard is french and originally from these parts!!

also today coop got a belated birthday gift delivered to him - he was so excited here he is jumping for joy!

so much to add to this page and i want to mix up the styles, not always having it the same, so i created a pocket for everything to go in. a map from the rental company, the raffle ticket for today's drawing from aydan's school and the little journal booklet i made for the occasion.

tracy and richard arrive tonight. on the menu - beef stew. haven't made this since the bakery where i made it once a week - had forgotten recipe if you can believe it!
4pm, -9, light snow flurries and sun poking out over the horizon.
6:30pm - they arrive! you guys we all excited and jumping up and done. then you started talking with them like they have been around all the time - totally comfortable and engaging. coop you were a little shy at first then warmed up. played games and built large marble tower.
