okay so it is stinking hot here. like heat i have never experienced. well maybe that summer in europe in 91 but that's it - definetly not on the westcoast. you don't get this sticky thick humidity out there, it's more of a dry heat with an ocean breeze (and apprently summer has yet to be found there this year.) although here today does feel like the humidity is going to crack the sky and it's just going to open up. love days like this! i am a complete sucked for thunder storms and a good lightning show.
i have been told it was going to go to 44 and such nonsense this week/weekend but as you can see we might be able to muscle through it - it really doesn't look that bad. we opted out of an air conditioner this year and we might jump on the bandwagon for next year, mostly for the children and for sleeping - last night was pretty miserable, although in the long run i would rather get a pool - but for me since the winter's here are soooo bad and so long (again nothing i have ever experienced...minus 25!!) i sort of am of the mind set of wanting to experience summer, soak it up for all it's worth and maybe i can touch on it when the weather hits -25 once more to lift my spirits and warm my toes. maybe.......
in this heat my witty brain turns to mush (i use the term loosely! haha). i have trouble keeping a straight thought, and thanks to yesterdays migraine, my post containing lots of basic on-hand recipes i would like to gift you all with never got written. so it's for this reason that i am writing about the weather because as they always say - if you cannot think of anything appropriate to say, you will restrict your remarks to the weather.
